Dubai, 11th October 2004: JJ Valaya, the first Indian couturier to enter Dubai ten years back, now strengthens his commitment to the region by opening an exclusive flagship store called JJ VALAYA ‘LIFE’. Located at the premium Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah, this 5000 sq. feet store will also showcase the extension of the label into other related fields akin to fine design. JJ VALAYA 'LIFE' will comprise of womenswear, menswear, accessories, soft furnishings and signature tapestries.

The store was launched through a spectacular fashion show held at the Dubai World Trade Centre on October 11th, 2004 followed by the formal opening on October 14th, 2004.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Valaya said: “About ten years back, we were the first designers to enter Dubai. Today we are proud to be the first Indian solo design house to open its flagship store. Dubai in culture and preferences is very similar to India. Fabric and handcrafts play a very important role as do quality and design.
